Autumn Photo Shoot!!!! :)

Hiya every body! I'm not sure if autumn has officially started yet, but on friday it was freezing out, so if you ask me it is autumn. Plus I have a cold and it's really lame to get a cold in the summer, so, yeah. ;) Anyway, Autumn is my FAVORITE season because it's beautiful out and I like the crispness in the air. I also like the smell of autumn, if you live in a place with four true seasons you know what I mean and if you don't, sorry it's impossible to explain.

To get to my point, Our Dolls is having an autumn photo contest, so I had a photo shoot today in hopes of getting a great picture! Here are the ones that I took:

1.
People forget that there are autumn flowers before the first frost! Here's Kirsten with a pumpkin, some hearty mums and something else, not sure what, in my family's front garden.

2.
Another shot.

3.
Close-up.

4.
And one more for good measure.

5.
Can you see Kirsten?

6.
There she is!

7.
Ugh, first one is better.

7.
I love, love LOVE this pic :)

8.
Leaves!

9.
More leaves!

10.
Gettin' creative.

11.
Although the leaves on most trees are changing, this one will stay green all year. :)

Thanks for looking! Vote for your favorite pic in a comment! (I numbered them for you)

Oh, for those of you whose websites I ussually comment on but haven't been lately, blogger isn't letting me comment on some blogs! I seem to have trouble with comment things that are displayed below the post. I wanted to say that I've been reading and loving all of your posts and I would comment if I could!

PPAG Entry (Round 2!)

The theme for this round is 'Easter' and 'Earthday'. I tried to capture both in all of my photos. Here are the ones I took:

I love that cross decoration!

I especially like this one!

I don't really like this one.

Do you see Chrissa? (She's there, I promise!)

There she is!

Ugh, get that branch out of her face!!!!

I ADORE this one!

Very Easter-ish.

Just chilling with some flowers.

Still chilling.

Close-up of chilling.

Not done chilling yet.

Here are the three I am entering:

Third Favorite:
I like the way her hair looks in this one. I also really like her pose and the flowers look cool, too.

 Second Favorite:
Like I said earlier, I really like this decoration, and I like Chrissa's pose. I think it represents Easter well through the lilies, and Earth Day well through the fact that it's made out of plants.

 Absolute Favorite:
I ADORE just about everything about photo. I think the lighting's cool, her hair's great, and I love her pose, too!

Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone in PPAG!!!

Entry To Gabby's Contest (Round One)!

The theme for this round is Red. When I first saw it, one thing popped into my head: Memorial Day! I think it's a very important holiday, because it honors troops. Anyway, I thought about how cool it would be spend Memorial Day at the boardwalk, so that's where this photoshoot is supposed to take place. Chrissa had an awesome time, and so did I. I was sooo happy because it's super warm out today!

Here are the photos I'm considering entering:

I like the color red, but I didn't want to overwork it, so I used white and blue in the outfit too (hey, I'm Dr. Sues!) since they're also patriotic colors. This pic isn't my favorite.

I like the way the shadow falls on her face in this picture.

I like this one alot, too.

This one is okay, but . . .

I like this one better.

Chrissa likes to rollar skate up and down the board walk and window shop in all of the souvenier stores.

I can't get over the shadow in this one! I love it so much!

Time to wind down after a busy day at the boardwalk.

I liked the first one better.

Of these, here are my three favorite:

First favorite:
Why I Like It: The shadow. Plus, I like the was the light's shining on her leg. To me, it looks like a sun-block covered leg shining in the sunlight.

Second Favorite:
Why I Like It: I like the dark shadow behind her, and how this photo isn't quite as bright as some of the others. To me, this makes it look like the sun is just starting to go down, perfect for a pic of her napping.

Third Favorite:
Why I Like It: I think it looks very realistic. The shell's the right scale to be a sovenier, the rollar skates look good, and I like the bottom of these sandals. I know that's a little weird, but I do.

BONUS PICS!!!!!

This is how I set up the photoshoot on my deck. You can't really see in the pictures, but I used the spray bottle to mist Chrissa so that it's look like she just came out of the ocean.

"LET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!" :) Hehehehe.

Entry To Gabby's Contest!

Hi! This is Chrissa and I'm proud to say that Katie chose ME to enter Gabby's Picture Perfect contest!!!! After sifting through the pictures she's taken of me, she decided she liked these three the best:

Why I like this photo: The lighting's pretty good (That's something Katie struggles with since most of her photos are taken in the basement) and it shows off my bracelet as well as something I love: Swimming!

Why I like this photo: The pose. I think it looks realistic, and I think I look pretty darn great in Kirsten's nightgown. The lighting's pretty good, too.

(Forgive the glimpse of Emily) Why I like this photo: One word: Hair. My hair can be annoying but I think it looks great here. Plus, the lighting's decent and I like the outfit I'm wearing.

Oh, and a clarification about Katie's scavenger hunt: E-mail the answers to her! (See below post!) Thank you!

I am in such a good mood!

Hello, people of the world! As you can tell from the title, I am in an extremely good mood right now for multiple reasons.

1. I WON EMMA'S CONTEST!!! Yay! All of the entries were really cool, I didn't really expect to win!

2. I HAVE TEN FOLLOWERS!!!!! Thanks to Karen, I have reached my first follower milestone! Stay tuned for a special post and challenge for that . . . . .

3. THE DEVILS WON LAST NIGHT!!!! For those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about, the Devils are a hockey team, in fact they are my favorite hockey team. :) I went to the game and now have a new favorite player, Tedenby! He is like a rocket on the ice. Whoosh!

4. MY ANSWER FOR THE YOU SAID IT ON AG WAS POSTED!!! If you go on 'Girl Buzz' in the 'Fun For Girls' section of the website, you see the 'You Said It!' thing. My answer was the one with the chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing and vanilla icecream inside. (You'll know what I mean if you look.)

My American Girl Design An Outfit Contest Entry!

Super long title says it all. I designed an explorer outfit! Here are pics:

Here's the bulk of the outfit. You can kinda see my writing, but not really. The pants are capri-length cargo pants that have ties at the hem. The t-shirt is a tank that is nice and lightweight, and the hat is cowboy-style..

This outfit would come with dark brown hiking boots.

What's an outfit without accessories?! This one would come with binoculars, a deadly accurate compass, a pocket-sized guide to US birds, and a big water jug with a shoulder strap. All vitally important tools when exploring the Amazon or the nearby woods.

What do you think?

Check out my new poll and the new background! New header pic soon!

I Heart American Girl Entry

Meet Maggie Marx. She's eleven years old as sweet as can be. She lives in a small town called Bellingham in Arizona. She's always wanted to do something to make a difference but never really got around to carrying out her plans to save the rain forest or raise money for earthquake victims. Then, her best friend and sister Sarah is diagnosed with leukemia and has to go to Phoenix, which is almost two hours away, once a month for days at a time for treatment. Maggie decides it's time to put one of her helping plans to action. With her faithful golden doodle, Maxie by her side, Maggie comes up with the idea to host a square dance in her family's old barn, charging five dollars for a night of dancing and music, but when only her family and a few very close friends show up, will Sarah be able to teach Maggie an important lesson about how sometimes it's not about how big your project is, but that you want to help
at all?

Do you like it? It's for a contest run by I Heart American Girl. Did you enter this contest? Are you planning to? Thanks for reading!

PS: Thank you to everybody who voted on my poll! I'm flattered so many people liked my version of 'A Christmas Carol'! If you didn't vote yet and want to, do so soon because it closes in two days. Thank you!
