Kanani! (And some other stuff)

So we're all waiting to see what the new GOTY (Girl of the Year) will be like. For those of you who don't know, her name is Kanani (Hence the title of this post) and she's Hawaiian. You can read the back cover of her first book (Aloha, Kanani!) here and see the front cover of her second book (Good Job Kanani!) here at the Barnes and Noble website. That's not really what this is about, though. On American Girl Dolls Forever (A blog I just found and highly recommend to AG lovers), there are pictures of the doll Kanani! Here are some of them: (I do not own these pictures, they belong to American Girl Dolls Forever. Please visit their blog http://americangirldollsforever.blogspot.com/!)
Beautiful Kanani! Isn't her dress gorgeous? I thought her eyes would be darker, but that's okay. The hazel looks great, too. Her hair looks like it has a slight curl, which I love on dolls. The flower is great, too. :)
I absolutely ADORE the hula outfit. Last year my school had a thing where we could all dress in Hawaiian clothes, and a lady came and taught us the hula. One of the costumes she wore looked alot like this, so I guess it's accurate. There's also a glimpse of her PJ's on the rights. Aren't they cute?

Another really cool thing is that AG is going to be releasing  . . . . . . . .

Special edition mini dolls!!!! How cool is that? (Again, I do not own this picture- American Girl Dolls Foever does) They're going to release a two new ones every two months. (I think) It looks like it's going to be the girls in their holiday finery! I bet Kirsten will be in the second batch, because Felicity and Samantha are in the first. This looks super cool!

Fun In The SNOW!!!!!!!!

Hey everybody, what's up? Kailey here, telling you about all the fantastic SNOW we just got here! Being from California I'd never seen snow in real life until I came to Pleasant View. It is AWESOME for those of you who have never experienced it. I just had to go out and play in it first chance I got. It was seriously cold, though, so I had to get really bundled up.
Look at this massive pile of clothes! It comes up to my waist, at least. Oh, by the way sorry I'm just in long underwear here. It's my first layer. I borrowed it from Chrissa even though it's PINK! (In case you didn't know I suffer from pink-a-phobia. It's a chronic condition.)

Uh, I don't need all this stuff. This sweater is useless, and who want to wear socks that were made a hundred years ago, sheesh! "Kailey! If you go outside with less than that stuff on and get sick in my long underwear I'll make you buy me a new one!" Okay, fine Chrissa. Don't get your tinsel in a tangle.

*15 Minutes Later*
Almost ready to go, and I look like I don't know what, but not good. I'm wearing a flannel shirt (Molly's), snow pants (Emily's) A PINK sweater :O (Kit's) knit mittens (Kirsten's), two pairs of socks (Also Kirsten's. Are you noticing my lack of winter clothes?) A scarf and a hat (Finally! Something that's actually mine!).

Okay, I got on a jacket and boots (Both Emily's. I need to get Katie to buy me a winter outfit.). Time to go outside into the great outdoors!

WOOOOO! Walking on snow shoes is actually really fun! The snow is almost as high as I am, so I'm currently twice my normal height! Cool, huh? These are the snow shoes from Chrissa's winter set (This I didn't tell her I was borrowing, so please don't say anything.! ;)

Snow angel time! I make awesome snow angels because I am an angel. (Chrissa: Snorts)  Hey!

Isn't it beautiful? Of course it is- I made it! (Chrissa: *Laughs* Conceited, no not me.) Oh, you're one to talk!

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Snow tubing is hands down the most fun thing to do in the snow. Except for snowboarding. And Skiing. And maybe snowball fighting. But it's up there.

Thanks for reading about my fun in the snow! Do you get snow where you live? Did you play in it? Stay warm and happy winter!

Merry Christmas!

Hey everybody! It's Kit here, wishing you all a Merry Christmas. :D  To celebrate, the girls and I exchanged secret Santa gifts. I got a finger-knit scarf from Emily, Kailey got chew toys for Sandy from Molly, Emily got a CD of Christmas songs that Kirsten recorded herself, Chrissa got a bracelet and and hand-made crayons from Kailey, Kirsten got a cape for Sari that Chrissa sewed, and I wrote Molly a mystery book where she's the main character. We have a rule that for secret Santa gifts, they have to be made by the giver, we can't buy them. This makes all the gifts extra-special. Anyway, Katie took Christmas portraits of us, but the computer is being exceedingly weird, and it said they were downloaded, so she deleted them from the camera but then- surprise!- they weren't on the computer. :( :( :( :(
Anyway, here's what Katie got for Christmas that is doll related:

1. Chrissa's snow gear (It was for sale at the AG cyber Monday sale) We LOVE it so much! I think I might get the hat and mittens since I don't have a snow outfit and Kailey can't stand pink. :) :) :) The snowshoes are great too, and the snow tube is so realistic.

2. Mia's Hair Clips and Case (Also for sale at the cyber Monday sale) This is AWESOME too. It was crazily over-priced when it was sold in 2008, but it was on a good sale. :) This will probably be used mostly by Kirsten for skating competitions

3. A flip video camcorder thingy. (Kate is thinking about making some videos of us! Wouldn't that be sooooooooo awesome?)

Anyway, I hope you had a great Christmas and have a great new year!

PS: (Katie speaking now) I hope you like my new blog design! Thanks to Emma for giving me the websites :) Also, thank you to my followers, especially to my two new ones!
