Thank You, Heroes

As we all know, ten years ago today, there was a terrorist attack in America. A plane hit each of the World Trade Centers, another hit the Pentagon, and another that was heading for the Capitol was brought down in a Pennsylvania field by its brave passengers.

I am just barely old enough to remember the day it happened (I was 4). My mom and I were only a couple of miles from New York City when it happened. We could see the smoke from the World Trade Centers from our car.

This post is to say thank you to the following people:

The brave passangers on flight 93 that brought down the plane heading for the Capitol
The innocent passangers on all the other flights
The innocent people who were working in the Pentagon and World Trade Centers that were killed
The brave people who managed to escape
The first responders who risked, and in some cases lost, their lives to save others
The fearless reporters who made sure we understood the severity of these attacks
God, because it could've been worse.

Thank you, heroes of 9/11. You will be remember forever by you family and friends, and by all Americans (and decent foreigners).

God Bless America, Land that I Love
Stand beside her, and guide her,
through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam!
God Bless America, My home sweet home!
God Bless America, My home sweet home.
