The Mysterious Night- Part 1

I finally finished that photo story I told you about, but it is SUPER long, so I thought that rather than post the whole thing at once, I'd do it in parts. Enjoy the first part! (Sorry lots of the photos are so blurry, they didn't look blurry on my camera)

It was a dark and stormy night, but the girls of Pleasant View Academy hadn't noticed, as they were all fast asleep.

All except for Sandy, that is, who was trying to get her owner's attention. She desperately needed to do her business and absolutely could not wait.

"Sandy, what is it? It's the middle of the night." Sandy whined. "Do you need to do your business? Oh, geese. Let's go." Kailey climbed down from her bunk.

"Sandy, you have a knack for choosing the worst times possible for necessary functions." Kailey grumbled as she pulled on her poncho. Sandy woofed, trying to tell her to hurry up.

*Sorry this is sideways, I can't figure out how to rotate it!*
"Woah, Sandy! Slow down!" Kailey chided her dog as she rushed toward the door, pulling her owner into Kit's bed, waking her up.

"Kailey?" Kit asked groggily, "What are you doing?" "I'm taking Sandy out for, uh, necessary functions. Go back to sleep."

"No arguments there," Kit said dreamily as she drifted back to sleep. Just before she did, she noticed the glow-in-the-dark clock flashing 11:08.

Kit woke with a start, knowing something was wrong. She looked at the clock, which read 2:17, then at Kailey's bed. Kailey was gone! Kit hopped up and turned on the light . . . . .

. . . . which woke everyone with a start. "Oh, Kit, what are you doing?" Molly demanded. "Yeah," Emily agreed, "It's the middle of the night!"

"Kailey's missing," Kit announced, "At 11:08 she left to take Sandy outside, but she's been gone for three hours!"

"Uh, excuse me Kit, but, are you sure you didn't just dream it or something? What trouble could Kailey have run into on a boarding school campus that would keep her for so long? She's probably in the bathroom."

"Well, you can believe what you want, but I know what I saw three hours ago, and Kailey is missing, and I'm going to go find her," Kit said, slightly hurt that Chrissa didn't believe her. She started going through the chest of jackets, looking for water-proof ones that would protect her from the rain."

"Kit," Emily said gently, "We believe you, it's just that we're curious as to what happened, as school officials would lead us to believe that nothing like this could happen. We'll help you find Kailey, don't worry."

"Yeah," Molly said, "It'll be like we're Nancy Drew, Bess and George!"

"Uh, and their two best friends," Chrissa said, reminding Molly about her and Kirsten. "Oh, right. Sorry. You can be the Hardy boys, only better, because you're girls."

"Great," Kit said from across the room. "Some of us can wear these water-proof jackets so we don't get soaked."

"And I found a bunch of pairs of boots so our feet stay dry, too," Emily added.

"Wonderful! Kit, you and I will take these jackets and look around for Kailey outside. Grab a hat, too. We'll probably be out there for awhile."

"Emily, Chrissa and Kirsten, the three of you will look around in buildings Kailey is likely to be in. You'll want jackets, too, of course, for going from building to building."

"If , er, when we find Kailey," Molly explained as she tugged on her boots, "We find the others at ASAP and we all come back here for hot chocolate. Sound good?" "Yup!" "Sure." "K" "Fine."

"Move out, girls! Hopefully we will see each other soon."

Thanks for reading! If anyone knows how to rotate pictures on blogger, please leave a comment telling me. Thank you! The next part will probably be posted tomorrow or the next day.
